1. No Fleece (Unlined)

This option offers the closest contact between you and your horse, with no added bulk. Ideal for riders who want a sleek profile and a more direct connection through the saddle.

2. Fleece Rolls (Unlined with Rolls)

For a touch of traditional style, this version features fleece rolls at the front and back while leaving the underside unlined. It adds a classic look without adding padding underneath.

3. Fully Fleeced (Lined + Rolls)

Lined with plush fleece and finished with front and back rolls, this option offers maximum softness and cushioning. It's especially well-suited for sensitive-backed horses or longer rides where extra shock absorption is appreciated. 

Why Many Riders Add Fleece to the 1/4" Pad

Our 1/4" English Half Pad is known for its ultra-thin profile and lightweight feel, giving riders the closest contact possible. But many choose to add a fleece lining for one simple reason: stability.

The fleece underside adds adds a little extra stability to the thin wool pad. Fleece lining is ideal for horses with sensitive skin.

Adding fleece to the 1/4" pad gives you the best of both worlds: a minimal, close-contact pad with just enough added security and comfort.
